O365 Technical Architect

Digital Workplace, Architecture
Professional, Freelancer

Are you an O365 Technical Architect looking for a new challenge? Then read on quickly. You will join a team of very passionate and motivated consultants and work for customers with an O365 Platform. You will be part of the Digital Workplace unit which consists of more than 200 consultants from different areas of expertise. As an O365 Architect you fulfill a bridging function between business and IT. You will be assigned a versatile task package whereby, in addition to the role of "trusted partner" to our customers, you can also internally shape the vision of the team and will be involved in presales in order to shape the appropriate solution for our customers from start to finish. Within (especially complex) projects you will be in the lead to bring them to a successful conclusion and advise the customer appropriately.

  • You have a broad technical and functional knowledge of the O365 productivity apps and Azure (AD, Functions, PowerPlatform). Continuous training is obviously a must!
  • You are familiar with the architecture of the Microsoft cloud (both hosting and development) and you are willing to further certify within your O365 field of expertise.
  • You play a crucial role in the full life cycle of the implementation.
  • You map out the needs of the customer. You do this mainly from a functional point of view where you capture the business processes and graft them onto standard processes.
  • You contribute to the development of standard processes and have a clear approach to lead workshops and also apply it in practice.
  • You design a solution with standard Microsoft O365 features or you recommend customization if needed.
  • You draw up the architecture of the proposed solution and monitor its implementation.
  • You define (and steer) the scope of your projects based on the desired requirements. You consolidate the requirements and present them in a comprehensible way to the customer.
  • You perform a Fit-Gap analysis and draw up a blueprint.
  • You start the configuration of the MS O365 solution.
  • You manage developers for customizations and/or integrations.
  • You coach junior/medior consultants in their role at the customer and are the "go to person" for them in case of questions.
  • You successfully guide the customer before and after the go-live.
  • You form a tandem with the Project Manager who assists and supports you on a technical/functional level.
  • You consult with other (Enterprise) Architects.
  • You work on complex projects, RFIs/RFPs and other presales projects.
  • You provide clear documentation of the delivered solution to the customer as well as to internal colleagues so that support for our customers can proceed flawlessly.

What you need to succeed:

  • You have proven experience in MS O365 implementations, migrations, integrations with external systems and development (custom).
  • You work self-managing, which means that you can foresee your own planning within a certain horizon and pro-actively plan things on this basis (e.g. plan consultations with end users in time so that the project does not grind to a halt).
  • You proactively give feedback to the project manager, service manager, team leader, ... about (deviations from) planning & budget.
  • You have a very strong hands-on mentality and analytical thinking skills.
  • You are result-driven with an eye for risks and quality.
  • You are fluent in oral and written communication.
  • You are proactive, customer-oriented, flexible and stress-resistant.
  • You are willing to be a subject matter expert in an O365 component in addition to the role of architect.
  • Collaborating with colleagues and customers is a natural fit for you.
  • You have an eye for creating buy-in from the customer and its end users and to this end you provide regular and timely feedback on all important feedback (e.g. follow-up steps that will be taken based on feedback from an end user survey).
  • You have a good knowledge of Dutch and English.
  • You have strong ambitions to help build a success story.
  • You have the necessary skills to bring presentations to our customers in a logical and structured way.
  • It is a plus if you have knowledge of change management and user adoption (quick-reference cards, training courses and webinars, etc.). Possibly you have a certification in a change management methodology such as PROSCI.
  • The place of employment for this vacancy is Cegeka Ghent, Leuven or Hasselt and you are willing to travel regularly to our customers.
