For a client located in Kontich, Cegeka is looking for an enthusiastic Onsite Support Engineer. You will join the IT Service Desk team where you are jointly responsible for the first and second line support for approximately 250 employees. As the first point of contact for all IT-related requests and incidents, you will handle these via ticketing, telephony or walk-ins. In addition, we also provide basic support to more than 500 car dealers in Europe using our internal applications. You will be personally supervised by the attending system engineers and team lead.

  •  Your duties will include the following activities:
  • L1 & L2 support: Windows 11 & 10 OS, Printing (Ricoh & Canon), Office apps, FortiClient VPN, OneDrive, SharePoint, Edge for Business, DFS, Installation software (including Company Portal), Adobe apps, Informix IBM (CRT VanDyke), Citrix and MS Teams (+ voice).
  • L1 support internal applications
  • Ticket management (ServiceDesk Plus)
  • Knowledge management: creation and documentation of knowledge articles, creation and documentation of user manuals.
  • Asset management: purchase of small IT material, administration of IT material in the asset database, RMA submission.
  • Account administration (AD, Entra ID, Internal applications,...): creating and deleting accounts, modifying and assigning rights to accounts.
  • Staging of laptops and desktops.
  • IT onboarding and offboarding.
  • Network patching
  • Meeting room support
  • Installing IT equipment in the offices (Screens, docking stations, printers, etc.)

What you need to succeed:

  • You are good at analyzing and solving IT-related problems and can work efficiently with a ticketing system. Customer-friendliness and a service-oriented attitude are essential when supporting our internal employees and car dealers.
  • You are willing to travel daily to the Kontich office between office hours (8am - 6pm depending on early or late shift). Of course we offer you a company car.
  • You work well with colleagues within the IT department and other departments, and have sufficient knowledge of IT systems and applications, enabling you to solve technical problems quickly and effectively. Finally, you remain calm and effective under pressure, especially during times with many requests and incidents.
  • You are a native speaker of Dutch and have a good to intermediate command of French. In addition, you speak and write excellent English. You have strong communication skills, both oral and written, and can easily communicate with different stakeholders.
