Within the new division 'Digital Business' we are following this trend and are therefore looking for project managers for new and existing projects within the private market segment. Our customers operate in a wide range of sectors: logistics, finance, insurance, services, energy, industry, aviation, ... Digital Business offers innovative solutions to structurally modernise existing application landscapes.  We provide strategic advice on how to successfully complete a digital transformation technologically and organisationally. Outdated applications can be renewed to make optimal use of Cloud capabilities.  In addition, Digital Business integrates existing application landscapes with new applications and develops customised software.   • You will start in the business line 'Digital Business' where, as a seasoned Agile project manager, you will be the crucial interlocutor for our teams and customers.
  • You will lead projects for our custom-made software applications, integration projects or modernisation tracks.
  • Together with the team, you realise the project goals in terms of quality, budget and throughput time; in short, you take ownership and ensure that project delivery is guaranteed.
  • You will help introduce our Agile way of working to our new customers, or play a facilitating role for customers who already know their way around.
  • You manage 1 or more teams, depending on the size of the project. In doing so, you assume a coordinating role with continuous coordination between subprojects.
  • Scope monitoring is essential in our operation: you manage this together with the analysts. Your daily tasks include discussing the continuous backlog evolutions with the customer, challenging the customer on requests for changes and making the customer aware of the budgetary impact.
  • This means discussing difficult issues with your client and the team (scope, budget).
  • You are the key contact person for your client and you work strongly on developing a 'trusted advisor' relationship with the project & programme stakeholders.
  • You will keep your customers up to date about the status of your project in all its dimensions.
  • You are used to addressing project issues & risks in a proactive way.
  • You work at Corda Hasselt or at Cegeka Ghent, combined with working form home.

What you need to succeed:

  • You are an experienced project manager who has successfully completed software development and/or software implementation projects in a b2b environment.
  • You get enormous satisfaction from finding the business value for your customer.  You review this with the necessary critical mindset and enter into dialogue with the customer.
  • You have the courage to enter into difficult discussions with your customer about scope, budget & risk: you are familiar with the tension between fixed price projects combined with Agile operations.
  • You know the roadmap, scope & backlog management: these are essential elements to make your client aware of budgetary restricitons.
  • Knowledge and experience of Agile development methodologies.
  • Through your professional experience, social skills, flexibility and commitment, you manage to win the trust of our clients.
  • You have a helicopter view but do not underestimate the importance of details.
  • To manage your team, you have excellent leadership skills. You are familiar with planning and making optimal use of the available resources.
  • Cooperation is self-evident for you. You continuously strive for the desired result together with the team and the customer.
  • You can negotiate constructively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both towards the team, the client and the management.
