Our customers operate in a wide range of sectors: logistics, finance, insurance, services, energy, industry, aviation, ... Digital Business offers innovative solutions to structurally modernise existing application landscapes.  We provide strategic advice on how to successfully complete a digital transformation technologically and organisationally. Obsolete applications can be revamped to make optimal use of Cloud capabilities. In addition, Digital Business integrates existing application landscapes with new applications and we develop customised software. How do we make this a success with Cegeka?   • You will start in the business line 'Digital Business' where, as a seasoned Agile project manager, you will take on a (new) project.
  • Cegeka is involved in a new project to modernise a large-scale application. The new application (greenfield) will be fully cloud-native and uses modern technologies.
  • This is a challenging project and we are looking for an experienced project manager to help us make this project successful.
  • Together with the team, you will realise the project goals in terms of quality, budget and lead time; in short, you will take ownership and ensure that project delivery is guaranteed.
  • You will help introduce our Agile way of working to our new customers, or play a facilitating role for customers who already know their way around.
  • You manage 1 or more teams, depending on the size of the project. In doing so, you assume a coordinating role with continuous coordination between the subprojects.
  • Scope monitoring is essential in our operation: you manage this together with the analysts. Your daily tasks include discussing the continuous backlog evolutions with the customer, challenging the customer on requests for changes and making the customer aware of the budgetary impact.
  • This means discussing difficult issues with your client and the team (scope, budget).
  • You are the key contact person for your client and you work strongly on developing a 'trusted advisor' relationship with the project & programme stakeholders.
  • You follow up with the client about the status of your project in all its dimensions.
  • You are used to addressing project issues & risks in a proactive way.

What you need to succeed:

  • You are an experienced project manager who has successfully completed software development and/or software implementation projects in a b2b environment.
  • You focus on generating  business value for your customer. You have a critical eye and enter into discussion with the customer.
  • You are not afraid to enter into difficult discussions with your customer about scope, budget & risk: you are familiar with the tension between fixed price projects combined with Agile operations.
  • You know the roadmap, do scope & backlog management: these are essential elements to make your client aware of what is possible within the available budget.
  • Knowledge and experience of Agile development methodologies.
  • Through your expert knowledge, social skills, flexibility and commitment, you manage to win the trust of our clients.
  • You have a helicopter view but do not underestimate the importance of details.
  • To manage your team, you have excellent leadership skills. You are familiar with planning and making optimal use of the available resources.
  • Cooperation is self-evident for you. You continuously strive for the desired result together with the team and the customer.
  • You can negotiate constructively
  • Excellent communication skills, both towards the team, the client and the management.
  • You fluently speak Dutch and English.
