As a Business Intelligence analyst, you form the bridge between the product owners and/or business analysts and the technical BI team. Through workshops and individual discussions, you will quickly familiarise yourself with the business domain, analyse the business question with the aim of correctly interpreting the business requirements.
You work closely with our business stakeholders: during the analysis, you form a clear picture of the business processes and requirements. You translate these requirements into designs of dashboards and reports that present the necessary information in a clear way, and on the basis of which actions can be taken.
You are able to understand and address complex and analytical challenges.
You will engage with application owners and source data owners and draw out functional data flows. You possess sufficient technical baggage and are able to ask critical questions.
You support the BI and DWH architect in developing a design of an optimal BI solution.
You describe, plan and organise functional tests in a concrete test plan and participate in the functional tests yourself.
You are responsible for the quality of the datasets and the reporting portfolio: you ensure a clear presentation of the datasets and reports offered and inform the organisation and the customer.
What you need to succeed:
You have, preferably, several years of experience as an analyst in performing functional, process or business analyses.
You communicate fluently and are able to quickly grasp the complexity of the business domain.
In addition, you are critical and structured. Accuracy of data and its correct interpretation are important to you.
Moreover, you are strongly analytical and able to set priorities. You look for the right level of abstraction and know how far to go in detail.
You work results-oriented with an eye for detail, risks and quality.
Your passion is to present data attractively. Not only the correct content of the data is important to you, but also a clear and graphic presentation.
You like to become the expert in Power BI. You immerse yourself in best practices and share your knowledge with colleagues. You are constantly looking for improvements to offer a valuable portfolio to end users.
You are familiar with data modelling and/or other analysis techniques.
You may already have experience in a BI environment; experience with reporting tools is a plus.
Working independently and taking ownership is in your nature.
You are willing to travel to our headquarters in Hasselt on a regular basis.
