  • As a System Engineer, you are jointly responsible for the third-line support of the Cegeka private cloud platforms.
  • You contribute to the design of the infrastructure.
  • You ensure that high availability of the applications and services is guaranteed.
  • You will help develop new platforms and come into contact with technologies such as VMWare, Oracle, Power Shell, vRO, Storage, etc.
  • Together with your colleagues, you automate the platforms.
  • You ensure that documentation, instructions, procedures & knowledge are kept up-to-date.
  • You provide round-the-clock permanence on a rotating basis.

What you need to succeed:

  • You feel like a fish in water within Cegeka's result-oriented, no-nonsense approach.
  • You breathe IT and would like to grow in this field.
  • You are a team player, flexible and stress resistant.
  • You have strong technical and analytical insight.
  • As a hardware engineer you have good knowledge of server systems, preferably HP (HPe Synergy blade technology / bare metal servers - HPe DL380 series ), or equivalent Dell, IBM, ... solutions.
  • You have a good knowledge of virtualisation software.
  • You have knowledge of both Microsoft Windows and Linux/Unix environments.
  • You have an understanding and knowledge of general ICT infrastructure, such as: Object-oriented programming, network management, SAN and NAS technologies, high availability (clustering -, replication -, snapshot -, backup technology), experience with architectural principles, management concepts and the preparation of technical/functional documentation and infrastructure blueprints.
  • You preferably have a bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent through experience.
  • You are fluent in Dutch and have a good technical knowledge of English.
