  • What will you do?
  • As a System Engineer Backup, you will join an international team and contribute to the backup platform of our own Cegeka Private Cloud and of our customers.
  • You will install, configure and manage the backup components of Cegeka or Cegeka's customers.
  • Contribute to the development of our infrastructure and the innovation of our backup services
  • You will use your knowledge and experience to provide 3rd line support alongside the senior engineers in the team.
  • You will regularly take on projects independently
  • Ensure documentation, instructions, procedures and knowledge are kept up to date
  • Helping to define standards and best practices for the infrastructure/applications in order to deliver a sustainable solution that meets the customer's expectations.
  • You will be interested in automation and will be involved in automating tasks that are currently done manually.
  • Provide 24-hour on-call coverage on a rotating basis (every 5 to 6 weeks)

What you need to succeed:

  • What do you bring to the table?
  • You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT or equivalent experience
  • You are a team player, take initiative and can work independently and accurately.
  • You are customer focused and strive to find the best solution to incidents and problems.
  • You are comfortable working with Windows systems and have knowledge of Linux systems.
  • You have extensive hands-on experience with the Commvault Backup Recovery solution and are familiar with its concepts and terminology.
  • Knowledge of Dell-EMC Networker, Veeam, NetBackup or other backup technologies a plus
  • Knowledge of Dell-EMC DataDomain, HPE StoreOnce or other storage technologies a plus
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English
  • You are open to working weekends and evenings as part of planned (project) tasks
