As an Support Engineer you are part of our Network & Security Team and you are responsible for the maintenance and second-line support for our customers' network & security equipment. #LI-YS1

  • You offer operational support to our customers, by performing advanced technical analysis and implementations on network equipment covering multiple vendors/technologies.
  • You come into contact with different network environments.
  • You participate in the maintenance of various network components (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, proxies, wireless, ...).
  • You have good troubleshooting skills, and thoroughly investigate the situation and possible solutions.
  • You handle high priority situations and take corrective actions during outages.
  • You draw up accurate documentation, instructions and procedures and keep them up to date.
  • Together with the team, you think about optimizing our internal tools and make improvement suggestions for customer environments.
  • You strive for customer satisfaction through close cooperation with your colleagues.
  • You will provide 24-hour assistance on a rotational basis (on a yearly basis you will be on call for approximately 6 weeks). You will have flexible working hours, with scheduled presence for clients between 7am - 6pm.

What you need to succeed:

  • You are passionate about IT and Networking & Security.
  • You are a team player and particularly customer oriented.
  • You are confident about working independently and you take the initiative to find the best solution.
  • Analytical troubleshooting is one of your strong points.
  • You have a bachelor's or master's degree, preferably supplemented by a CCNA certification. NSE4/NSE5/CCNP/F5 certifications are a plus. Are you equivalent through relevant work experience? Then we would also like to meet you.
  • You have experience and/or interest in the following technologies: Switching, Routing, Firewalling, VPN, Loadbalancing, Wireless.
  • You are familiar with and have working experience on networking equipment from different vendors like Fortinet and Palo Alto firewalls, F5 load balancers and Cisco/Aruba wireless solutions.
  • You are fluent in English.
  • You are eager to learn in order to grow further in this role.
  • You work accurately and you are flexible and willing to work in a permanent system.
