Within our Applications software division we develop applications for clients in sectors within the private market. We are looking for an experienced Program Manager who can contribute to our pre-sales activities during the bid-lifecycle and who is also capable of ensuring a smooth and constructive execution of projects.

  • You work in our Digital Business division where we develop custom software projects, integration projects and innovative cloud-native solutions for customers in different sectors (EMU, Aviation, Automotive, Banking, Insurance, Transport...) and this in a very thorough Agile way.
  • You are responsible for further expanding of one of our programs and you will be responsible for several existing projects.
  • A program ideally consists of 40 to 50 colleagues.
  • You are responsible for an optimal client relationship. You partner with our client and think along strategically to deliver a concrete and workable IT solution.
  • Stakeholder & risk management in combination with managing customer expectations are essential in your role as program manager.
  • You see to it that budget, timing, quality and customer satisfaction are optimal and get 'in the mud' yourself to achieve this.
  • Your experience in the pre-sales process enables you to correctly support the bid-lifecycle.
  • Working together with your team is key; you inspire and coach the project teams to achieve the program objectives.
  • You organize your program in function of both financial and qualitative objectives.
  • You have P&L responsibility for your program.
  • Digital Business works with both local, hybrid and nearshore teams. Even when your project teams operate (partly) from abroad, you maintain the necessary connection with the teams.

What you need to succeed:

  • You are an entrepreneur at heart who enjoys managing complex programs across multiple functional and technical domains, with an eye for new business opportunities.
  • You have a helicopter view and keep balance between our client and Cegeka.  
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role managing teams that produce custom software.
  • Experience in the business domains in which our division is active, is a plus.
  • You have knowledge of technology stacks, frameworks, architecture concepts in the bespoke software development world.
  • You are an inspiring leader who can motivate and inspire a team, servant leadership is your strength.
  • "Out-of-the-box" thinking, entrepreneurship and open communication are indispensable skills for you. You see feedback as a key part of the process.
  • Other essential qualities that describe you are: assertive, proactive, communicative and stress resistant.
  • You will work from one of our Cegeka offices in Hasselt of Ghent, combined with working from home and visiting clients.
