Are you looking for an internship in networking? Then we have the ideal opportunity for you! Our organization uses F5 BIG-IP load balancers to efficiently and securely distribute network traffic. Currently, VIPs (Virtual IPs) are created manually, which can be time-consuming and prone to errors. The goal of this internship is to develop an automated solution that allows new VIPs to be created and managed via the F5 API.

  • Dive into how F5 BIG-IP load balancing works.
  • Analyze the current manual processes for creating VIPs.
  • Explore the possibilities of the F5 REST API.
  • Design and develop a script or application (e.g., in Python, PowerShell, or another suitable language) to automate VIP creation.
  • Test the solution in a lab or test environment.
  • Document the solution and create a user guide for administrators.

What you need to succeed:

  • Are you studying for a professional bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT, network management, security, or a related field? Check!
  • You already have a basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, load balancing, DNS).
  • Do you have experience or knowledge in automation and scripting? (Preferably Python or PowerShell) That would be great, but if not—no worries! You can always learn and grow with us.
  • Are you familiar with APIs and JSON? Check!
  • Do people describe you as proactive, communicative, and independent? Check!
