Quality Project Leader - Aviation

We are currently looking for a Quality project leader to join our teams working in an air traffic management environment at Eurocontrol.  You will be part of the team that's responsible for the definition, maintenance and improvement of Technology processes and process Assets (e.g. policies, working practices, user guides) in coordination with internal and external stakeholders and in accordance with requirements of applicable regulation bodies (e.g. EASA) and industry frameworks (e.g. CMMI, ITIL).

  • The team acts as the coordination body of the resolution of issues relating to the process.
  • You ensure that technology processes and process assets are properly defined and maintained in coordination with internal (e.g. local process experts) and external (e.g. suppliers) stakeholders.
  • You ensure coordination of technology process group governance board activities for all the processes, centralizing items that relate to process management and continuous improvement.
  • You ensure monitoring and coordination of performance indicators definition, statistical analysis and reporting to feed the continuous improvement activity
  • You ensure quality management of the network management and infrastructure projects and report on the project's quality status during its lifecycle.
  • You ensure that the CMMI appraisals and calibration visits are organised in alignment with the maturity rating CMMI institute requirements in coordination with the external CMMI lead appraiser.
  • You’ll work in an highly complex and highly regulated sector, where safety is the utmost important priority.
  • You identify and analyse needs regarding quality and initiate and execute improvement projects to ensure that the quality standards are efficiently and effectively achieved or improved.
  • You determine quality standards, methods and procedures and you ensure that current quality systems are further optimized and meet requirements that are continuously becoming stricter.
  • You perform complex technical quality controls on processes and regularly produce reports of the results of those controls to ensure that the quality can be guaranteed is key.
  • You’ll collaborate with various stakeholders: working closely together with the development team, but also with enterprise architects, product management and engagement manager to make sure the platform meets all quality standards;
  • Participate in test-driven Agile product development teams, meaning you’ll participate in daily Scrums, sprint planning, sprint reviews and retrospectives.

What you need to succeed:

  • You are an experienced Quality project leader with at least 3 years of experience, within a highly regulated environment.
  • You’re ability for attention to detail is one of your strengths.
  • You are experienced in either software system testing, software reliability, software quality, or software safety.
  • Broad knowledge of ISO-9001Quality system and experienced in guiding & preparing audits.
  • You have several years of experience in a software environment (e.g. software testing, development, etc.) or professional training / experience of an equivalent level is an absolute must have.
  • A first professional experience with PowerBI is nice to have.
  • Experience / Expertise that are certainly a plus: Process modelling, Technical writing, Process management & improvement, IT Lifecycle Management, Quality Control, Process evaluations & Audits, information technology and software development methods
  • Nice to haves: knowledge of statistics & measurements and mission critical systems or safety regulations
  • You work independently and have good interpersonal skills to communicate with project stakeholders (users, architects, developers, testers...).
  • You fluently speak English.  Speaking Dutch or French is plus.
  • You will work in Zaventem, combined with workin from home.
